ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – IDOT is expected to begin resurfacing work on the US 24 Bypass between Washington and Peoria during the week of April 13. This includes the 24 Bypass between Illinois Central College and Cummings Lane. Delays are likely, and for updates, follow the City of Washington Facebook page.

Even Cook County officials are calling on lawmakers to deliver property tax relief. House Democrats keep claiming they are fighting for affordability, but when it comes time to provide real property tax relief for Illinois families, they refuse to act.

Illinois Democrats continually put politics before people, and their latest energy package is a prime example of that. Dems have taken away local control in order to push their green agenda, and it’s Illinois residents who will pay the price.

AGRICULTURE
Pre-enrollment for the I-COVER cover crop incentive program opened on April 1. During the pre-enrollment period, farmers can upload their information and validate it, so the application is ready to go when the program opens.
REMEMBERING OUR HEROES
New signs will be going up on Illinois roadways in the coming months in remembrance of all the Illinois State Police Troopers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
