Congratulations to Downtown Pontiac Main Street for being awarded The Lieutenant Governor Award for Design, Promotion, Organization, Volunteer of the Year, Board Member of the Year, and the Volunteer Recognition Award!
The Lieutenant Governor Award for Excellence in Revitalization is one of the most notable recognitions for Illinois Main Street communities to achieve for their work in bringing economic prosperity to their communities.
Downtown Pontiac received the Design award for their Wayfinding signage on the sidewalks throughout the downtown last fall.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Volunteer Recognition celebrates the exceptional dedication and service of individuals who have made a significant impact on their communities through volunteer work. This award highlights the transformative power of volunteerism in fostering vibrant and resilient communities across Illinois.
Pontiac’s finest were celebrated with Bob Karl being awarded Board Member of the Year, Roger and Kathi Sutter honored with the Volunteer Award, and Brenda Thompson bringing home Volunteer of the Year Award. Congratulations to you all and keep up the great work!
