Celebrate Boy Scouts’ Day!

The Boy Scouts of America was founded by an Illinoisan on this day in 1910. It is said that William D. Boyce of Ottawa got the idea for the civic-minded group during a trip to London when a British boy scout graciously helped him through the fog. Since its inception, Boy Scouts of America has helped more than 130 million young people be “Prepared. For Life.” – Happy National Boy Scouts Day!
